Spoofing Alert
It appears that our log-in button has been re-routed to an unauthorized website. We are in the process right now of trying break the link or pull down our site.
Please do not log in to home banking at this time.
If you did try to log on earlier today and were asked for your credit card numbers AND YOU GAVE THEM, please call this number immediately to notify us at 1-800-444-4589 option 2. Please leave us a message and we will return your call as soon as possible.
We will keep you updated on this blog site.
Thank you.

Glad to see the quick response. -JW
Interesting you were hacked - again. This on-line banking software has been pretty pathetic since the change to the Verity moniker.
Not surprising considering the problems with the software in the past.
Thank you for your "due diligence" in catching, and correcting, this "hacker intrusion"... Because I check my accounts almost daily, I hope your site is up and running soon... And, I hope you (or the Feds) catch the perpatrator of this crime...
A BIG thanks to your "security team" for catching this intrusion...!
Dear Anonymous -
This is actually the first time something like thish has happened to us. We are working to correct it as fast as we can.
This is sort of scarey.
I do alot of online banking with Verity.
It's the easiet way for us since most of your main branches are so far away from where we are.
It's almost 5:00PM now but I will be watching and hoping this is cleared up soon without any problems.
Was this caught this morning or further back?
It's been a few days since I checked it, so is this "spoofing alert" a concern for those of us who did not give out any of our account info?
I answered some screening questions the last time I logged in e.g mothers maiden name, etc. Were these authentic or spoofed?
It appears that the spoofing happened about 10 am this morning.
No, at this point it does not look like it is a concern for anyone who did not give out their information.
It appears that our FUZE site (the "Contact Us Question and Answer" page) was also redirected for a short period of time.
Unfortunately, those questions you answered were not from us.
Without saying too much (because the perpetrators can read this site as well as we can) we have done a few things to shore up the problem but are not ready just yet to announce that everything is fixed.
It was actually already happening this morning at 6:30... long before 10.
Thank you for letting us know that. I had logged on at 5 am yesterday morning and everything was fine. The next confirmed log-in that we received was 10:00 am. So we now know it happened sometime between 5:00 am and 6:30 am.
Are "V" still down?

Well, the website is down, but there is now a secure direct sign-on to Home Banking in its place. You can now conduct your financial transactions.
I got an update from our IT department about an hour ago and they think the website should be back to normal sometime tomorrow.
Thanks for the pun....
I also heard that other CU's had this happen to them. Im happy to see that Veritys response time was quick. However what precautious are being used so this doesnt happen again?
Dear Anonymous –
Thanks for the positive comment.
If you are a member of Verity Credit Union, I would love to tell you more about the things we are doing to protect our members. Please call me. You can dial 800-444-4589 and ask for Shari Storm.
If you are an e-Wallet member or we have your email address on file, you should have gotten an email on Monday with more detailed information. We are also sending a letter in the postal mail to those members we know use Home Banking on Saturday mornings.
Hope to talk with you soon.
